Reggie understands how to deftly balance imparting new knowledge without talking down to students. Sharing his own wisdom in a way that allows students to feel fully empowered for success and equally accountable for their own experiences.
— E. LAGERQUIST (FOUNDER OF STAGEWRITE)

I believe fully in the transformative power of theatre education. The craft of theatre-making has given me so much, and I deeply relish opportunities to share that craft in the classroom. I have spent over a decade in the classroom as a teaching artist and have developed numerous curriculum modules as well. I’ve worked with students as young as pre-K in in-class workshops to adult students in a conservatory setting. In addition to being a resident teaching artist with Berkeley Rep, Berkeley Playhouse, Redwood High School, StageWrite, and now with Atlantic Theater Company, I have also consulted on curriculum creation projects with non-profit organizations, looking to develop rigorous, robust, and fully-integrated theatre education curricula. As part of my TCG Fox Fellowship in 2015, I created the YWoCC (Young Writers of Color Collective) program, which is now an integral part of the education department at Berkeley Rep. I am also available for audition coaching, and have helped actors successfully audition for Performing Arts High Schools, BFA and MFA training programs.

Working with Reggie reminded me why I wanted to be an actor.
